XbA's Weekly News Recap 4/15/2012 - 4/21/2012
Hey folks! I've got another Weekly News Update to drop on you all. This week saw some new trailers, some release dates dropped, some pushed back and a whole lot of digital deals, so keep reading to see what has gone on the past week!
First off, and AJ would have covered this if he wasn't busy setting records already, Trials Evolution dropped this week. That's right, the highly anticipated sequel to the XBLA hit is finally here! Check out the link to view the trailer and more!
Bethesda also made headlines this week, dropping a debut trailer for "Dishonored". Although not the Skyrim DLC announcement many fans were expecting, Dishonored looks exceptional, and is definitely worth checking out.
Halo 4 got a solid release date this week; get your hands on Master Chief and the new Spartan Ops mode November 6th! If that isn't enough FPS for you, Crysis 3 was also announced this week for a Spring 2013 release. I think that gives me enough time to get back to Crysis 2. Action fans may be disappointed to hear that Darksiders II's release date was actually pushed back, though: June 26th was the original release date, but it seems that War won't be hitting your console until some time in August. Rumors of Prey 2 being cancelled were also quashed this week, but the game will not see the light of day this year.
Well now, that is almost as much release date info as there are games in my backlog...almost. Crawford has the Deal Recap up there for you to take a gander at; this week sees Lego games getting a discount, as well as WP7's Kinectimals. Check out the link for all the deals and more DLC available now. There is also another permanent price drop for three more WP games, which I will be purchasing first thing tomorrow.
With the weekend coming to an end, time for XBL Silver members to enjoy Entertainment Apps is running short. For those of you who are Silver members and have been enjoying all of the 360's entertainment Apps, your access will be revoked tomorrow morning. So check out Game of Thrones tonight, while you still can!
A lot of juicy tidbits in the news this week, but if you haven't been satisfied you could always check out Meta's Ninja Gaiden 3 review. Its not often that we get some insight into what the mad man is thinking (Meta, not Ryu), so check out if NG3 is worth your steel or worth waiting for the inevitable budget price.
Still not satisfied? Then check out Kat's unsettling article about what could be happening to your private data on that Xbox you traded in to Gamestop all those years ago. A very interesting read, if not making you a little uncomfortable.
Well, that's all for this week. Some release dates, some delays, and some trailers to feed your curiosity. Until next week, stay classy XbA!
