You know, I had that same thought earlier this week; I believe it would entail purchasing the xba.com domain name, and then redirecting. While it wouldn't be difficult, it would cost some money.

A three-character domain like xba.com is insanely expensive. It's not uncommon for them to fetch five figures. To get a memorable, short domain name, I'd probably need to get a five-character name that probably wouldn't actually be all that memorable. It also wouldn't be that much shorter.
For example, xamer.com vs. xboxamerica.com. It's only 6 characters shorter, and not all that memorable.
Xbox360achievements.org has a really long domain name to begin with. They have a reason for an abbreviated short cut. I don't think we really do.

didn't you understand what jackson just said? It could get expensive........5 digit expensive....as in 10,000+

That would defeat the purpose.
I doubt people are going to be able to remember http://bit.ly/bbqNA7 or even http://xb2.us/5G.

I remember we had this discussion awhile back, didn't we?
I'm fine with xboxamerica.com, and seeing as I have a Mac, all I have to do is type in x and then the recent website thingy fills it in for me
