so i finally got a new place wit some roommates and was tryin to hook up the wireless to my 360 and it asks for the WEP key or whatever and all i have is a pin # for the wireless that the roommate gave me and that doesn't work as a key. Where can i find a key so i can get live going?

resetting it will erase the current key. You can log into the router an create your own key if you wanted

so i can't just find the current one anywhere by logging into the router? how do i do that btw? not very computer savvy lol

Possibly, depending on if the password was changed from the default login.

But to log into the router, you will need to type in the default router IP address into your address bar. (Look on the bottom of the router for this). It will probably be a "192.1681.0 or 192.168.0.0". You should get a login screen with USERNAME and PASSWORD. If no password was set it will be PASSWORD: Administrator or Admin, PASSWORD: *leave blank*.

However if a password was set and no one knows the code you will need to reset it.

If you were like me, and the two ip's he gave you did not go work.
You can find your routers page by doing this:

Start -> Run -> cmd -> ipconfig
The IP under "Default Gateway" use that in your address bar.
