The poorest country in the western part of the world HAITI was rocked by a 7.0 earthquake with 20 after shock's a few day's ago that caused massive devistation . To some it may be hard to belive but HAITI is only a half an hour from florida and most people still live in shack's and what building's that were made out of stone ,brick or concrete now look like "pancakes" dead body's stack and line the street's there are no major hospitals, food or clean water dew to the devistation(YOUTUBE) you know its bad when the leader of the country has no place to call home. The U.S government are doing what they can but keep in mind we are still fighting and paying for a war in the middle east. so the ? is what can you do? go to WWW.YELE.COM or WWW.REDCROSS.COM a little can go a long way. I hate how a earth quake hits in a third world country and everyone creams themselves about how that place had shit living conditions.Well yeah, a lot of people have died.Is it sad? Yes, but the way they live is good compared to other countries.The media blows everything out of proportion,don't get me wrong if you can help you should even if it's only sending a dollar.However, the reason it makes me mad is how one disaster happens and it's ZOMG we should help when those people were bad off before and no one cared to do anything.Seriously we need to open are eyes.
Also I recommend reading A Long Way Gone by Ishmeal Beah.It takes place in Sierra Leone and it really shows how bad these people have it.
