I am not completely sure if this is a bug or what, but I have subscribed to a thread that is currently active (movie screenshots challenge v2); however, I haven't received any emails about the thread being updated since subscribing to it. I had subscribed to movie screenshots challenge v1 and received updates about that being updated, and I haven't changed my email address since then. So I am not quite sure as to why I have not received updates about the thread.

I searched for one and didn't find one related to this issue other than the thread created by Jackson about thread subscriptions being added as a new site feature a couple of years ago, but it has been archived since it hasn't been active for almost as long.
I was hoping to have this looked into, since when I want to know if that particular thread has been updated, the thread is usually not in the most recent posts due to all the random MW2 threads.
