Thoughts/Opinions on Windows 8?

Saw Amazon has some really good deals on auto upgrades to Windows 8, about $40 until Monday I believe, so what are the verdicts/thoughts on it from anyone who's had some extended use with it?

I have been running Windows 8 consumer preview for a few months now, and so far I like it. Unlike the 360 dashboard, I can totally customize it and it doesn't (so far) have any advertisements.

I've also been using it for about 2 months (the full enterprise version) and I really like it. I was using Vista before though so pretty much anything would seem awesome after running that crap for 3 years.
Like Mo said, it is totally customizable so you can take all the stuff off that you don't want and organize things the way you want. It does however feel like it was made for a tablet (the Win 8 tablet looks pretty sweet btw) but it is very smooth and fast.

Windows 8 was meant for Surface and other touchscreen (tablet) interfaces, not a regular PC or laptop. Nothing with a keyboard works well with Windows 8. I think they tried to mainstream it and in my opinion it fails as much as Vista and ME did.

I have been using windows 8 for about 5 months or so and I like it, although at first I didn't, but when you use it for a while and get used to it its very easy to use, not very much of a learning curve if you have been a windows user previously. Plus the ability to play xbox games on windows 9 and earn achievements is a huge bonus, now only if I could get a windows phone lol but I just renewed my 2 year contract with verizon.
Skydrive is awesome as well!
