I have, I even went this year. And sprinter, Tim McVey, holds the world record for Nibbler.
It's my understanding that the IVGHoF is currently a 4 day thing, until the building is built, Tim would know more about it.
Ottumwa was chosen as the home of it due to Twin Galaxies being the first place to start tracking High Score Records for Arcades and such. Twin Galaxies now keeps track of scores internationally, and scores must be taped from start to finish for verification.

Isn't national video game day on September 12th? Is that the day the IVGHoF hold their event?
