The latest installment in Electronic Arts popular skateboarding franchise Skate will land on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 May 11, the publisher announced.

New to the series is team-based gameplay, where players can create skate teams either offline or online and compete in team-based challenges.

Players can also create their own skate parks as well as other custom content and share them on the game's official website.

Developers at studio Black Box have also tweaked the tutorial, turning it into a Skate School to teach players skateboarding tricks.

I'm so excited.. I hope they make it more like the first one though. I put hundreds of hours into that game... Just for fun! The second one was a little iffy compared to 1. The multiplayer was not nearly as much fun. Well, I'm still picking it up anyway :D
