during a challenge ( Deadalus & son) you have to find 20 feathers, 10 red sage and 5 beaver furs. I can not find teh beaver to complete this challange. The hint say by rivers up north. I went has far north as I can and I can not located them. I dont know what else to do. I can not go pass Thieves' landing. On the map ther are 2 more places Tall Trees & Great plain but the bridges are out near theives' landing. Is that where the beavers are at?

you have to keep playing the game until you get to the north, that IS indeed where the beavers, as well as bears, buffalo and more are found

If you have encontered any grizzly bears then you have opened up the area. Just go to the old trading post in the northern area just past your old homestead and follow the trail into the snowy area and keep following it, you will eventually get to a part of the trail that follows along the river, there you will encounter beavers, but be aware there are bears aplenty and the will be in packs of 3 so be aware.

Every single time I ran into a bear it was 1 male and 2 females. You can tell by the color of them the males are a ittle bigger and darker and the females are more redder. They may not all attack you at once but if you kill one then the second then a third will appear, it did for me.

Like Boyz said Hojo, if you can't travel up north yet, you still have missions to do in Mexico. Once you do get up north just ride along the edge of the rivers and you'll find plenty of beavers. Is this the stranger mission for the guy who's trying to put together a hang-glider and you're collecting shit to make glue with?
