Question about flash drives

I've never been big into recovering my account at other places and I've only needed to recover it once before which was when I was around 2,000G or so. I finally got a new X360 and am going to be playing back and forth and I was wondering some stuffs.

1. Is it safe to put my Gamertag on a flash drive?
(If does corrupt can I just recover again?)

2. Will I be risk and losing my achievements or gamerscore?
(A friend told me his got a weird symbol next to his score)

3. If I do put my gamertag onto the flash drive do I put it onto that Xbox's HDD or do I just load it from the flash drive?

Well I hope you guys can help, haha I don't like this two hour recover!

1) It IS safe to put a tag onto a flash drive since it works just like a memory card for fast transport.

2) You won't lose anything as long as you're playing online and not doing anything suspicious with it (MS was doing the recent bans for people sharing a lot of content across tags and consoles)

3) You can move your tag onto the HD OR just leave it on the flash drive and still save your files onto the HD, it'll ask you which you want to save to when you boot up any game, I used to leave my tag on my memory card all the time when I went to my friends house to play often.

And that's the only drawback I have found for it.

Just make sure that when you do get a flash drive before you use it you are going to have to format it to the 360's system.

I have my profile on a 16GB flash drive at all times. I also have to different xbox's in the house and go back and forth between them. Plus it makes it easier to have the profile on the go when going to friends houses or what not since you don't have to take the time to recover it. I never move it off of the flash drive at all.

if i put my gt on a flash drive will i lose my cheevos becuase i did play my tag offline before because my cable wasnt working for about 2 or 3 weeks?

You won't lose anything as long as you update it/sign back into Live WITHOUT recovering it somewhere else first and gaining new achieves after recovering it.
