Profile Too Big To Move?

My gamer profile runs about 95 Meg. Earlier today I set up xbox-spare so little Ralph and I could waffle some easy Nicktoons MLB achievements. When I tried to move my profile to a USB drive it told me I had an error. I tried a second USB drive and that failed too. My question is, should I recover my gamer profile or am I doing something dumb that's causing the problem?

That happened to Melissa and myself when we used an old thumbdrive to transfer profiles back and forth. It works eventually, just keep trying. Sometimes it takes a lot of tries.
Once you move it, get it off the USB drive right away. When I was playing on the USB drive, achievements didn't pop, and sometimes my profile would show up as corrupted. I got an official Xbox USB card for father's day and haven't had a problem since, so it's worth the extra cost if you move your profile around a lot.

Yes I did.
With dozens of thumb drives floating around the house now I have to buy a MS drive? That's just crap. I don't move it often, but often enough where this could become a real PTIA.

Just to wrap this up. I did try a few more times with no success. I ended up recovering my profile and after that long delay, it copied over the first try. I guess profiles can get corrupted over time.

So did you have to delete your profile from the hard drive first? Just asking in case it ever happens to me.
