Pre-order "Exclusive" Bonuses.

Ok, this is me ranting. :growl:

I pre-ordered Bioshock 2 and got the "exclusive" Zigo d'Acosta and Mlle Blanche de Glace characters.

Now 3 months later you can access these characters by purchase for $2.

This should be illegal in all 50 states (and the rest of the world).

Don't get me wrong. I'm fine with giving power to the people, but couldn't be 2 DIFFERENT characters? What a lousy way to make $2.

I could've saved $5-$10 plus taxes by purchasing this from amazon.

Anyone feel the same (Bioshock 2 or any other game)?

nope. i pre-ordered ODST and got the good stuff. i pre-ordered BFBC2 and got fucked in the ass when transferring my preorder to a new store, they ran out of limited editions. and i preordered Reach: Legendary edition. im feeling pretty good. sucks for you though. shouldnt preorder a game just for two unnoticeable characters, unlike myself, who now p0wns covenant with a black guy with a cigar in his mouth, and shouts random phrases like "wiki-tiki!!!!"

I don't know why you're so surprised. I could give two shits about pre-order exclusives cause they always seem to be made available later. Just another way to make a buck. I thought these characters were the absolute lamest pre-order exclusive anyway. :no:

Yeah, but I'm not referring to money, but EXCLUSIVITY.

If there were 2 different skins, I would've bought them for $2.

But that's not the case, because those lazy devs just reused the skins that were supposed to be exclusive for pre-orders.

my statement says it all. those characters sucked anyway. dont just preorder a game just because. think things through. who's gonna notice a random fisherman or a whore?

There are some pre order exclusives that are sold online later, then taken away forever. Marvel Ultimate alliance 2 Characters is a good example. Juggernaught was a pre order exclusive, then it went up for like 80 pts later. But now its gone and cannot be found anywhere.
I have the whore and fisherman skins, but I preordered it becuse I wanted the game, not for the DLC.

To me, the whole point for the pre-order bonus is NOT whether to get the game or not.

It's more a matter of "where" to get the game. You know, an incentive. You're going to get the game anyway (if you're interested in the game), but the bonus is an important factor if you have choices.

My choice was either buying it from gamestop, bestbuy or amazon. But the fisherman and the whore made me decide for gamestop.

What's your point? You did get them exclusively, for a period of time. Now they are available to others, for a price.

You paid nothing extra. Get over it. If you could have saved $10 through Amazon and still went with Game Stop for 2 characters, that was your decision.
