Let me start by saying I am in no way trying to say that I'm smart, I'm just sharing my thoughts. Let me also say that please, no haters.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaDt7sBLLNs
I was getting my fix of seananners just now, and I saw this. Now this is going to sound coincidental, but I always think like this, but in addition to this happy way, also in a default way of it. That sounds confusing and makes no sense, so here, let me give you an example, a peek into my mind of sorts. Don't sign me up for the insane asylum. :p

You look at yourself. Your life might be bad might be good. Doesn't matter. Think about the cosmos and beyond. What is up there? The deep ocean. What is down there? All those shows and dvds about life of those wierd things under water, they get to me. What are those things? They live on the planet with us? Now think about the microscopic realm. All the germs in your body, all the fungus and germs and bugs and arachnids outside it. Think about all the plants. Lets narrow it down. Think about the tree closest to your house. There are trillions more like it. The numbers are astronomical. Try zooming out to satellite level in your mind. Do you see yourself? I doubt it. Look at the insane size and amount of things on earth. The rolling hills, the plunging valleys. The oceans, the forests. The villages in Africa, the cities in Europe and the US and Canada. The history in South America and Asia. None of it matters. We are on the microscopic level of the universe. We are that ant you stepped on yesterday in the big picture of things. Because the universe is deep, and we are small.

Sorry about that, had to get some of that out in writing/typing and share it. What is your philosophy on life and the universe? Please share it, I would LOVE to read it. And again, please no haters. I think this community is close enough to avoid haters.

Quote by Melissa Evol:

My philosophy on life is simple- everything happens for a reason, there's a specific path we're meant to take in life, although I do believe in free will. When life is going smoothly, it's because we're making the choices that we're meant to take. When life is rough, it's because we're fighting our path. Bad luck, good luck, it's all just a matter of being on the correct path. That's not to say you can't take a different path and still enjoy life- I just believe you know it when you're doing what you're meant to do. You feel it.

Thinking universally has always given me headaches and panic attacks, lol.

definitely. But then there is also the factor of others impacting your life. It's to say, If the president was assassinated and the country was thrown into panic, it would be a seconary effect to your life, but it would hit you hard. I like to think of people as main characters, supporting cast, background cast, and big picture cast like the president.

I am not going to say one way or another but I will point out a concept: light-years. Contrary to popular belief, a light-year is not a measure of time, but rather a measure of distance. The distance light can travel in a year. Light moves at about 300 MILLION meters each SECOND, or 300,000 KILOMETERS each second (about 200,000 MILES). 18 MILLION KM a minute, about 1.2 BILLION KM an hr, about 24 billion km a day, ending up at about 7 TRILLION KM a year. Think about the fact that there are only that many cells in your body, that many stars in our galaxy, and a TRILLION times that many light-years between our galaxy and the next. Just a comparison. :)

my philosophy: i will be visited by a giant bunny who will offer me pills and a Monster. his name is Frank. he will then begin to describe how i am to travel back in time and prevent the end of the world.

but seriously.

Quote by Bill Hicks:

"See, I think drugs have done some *good* things for us, I really do. And if you don’t believe drugs have done good things for us, do me a Favor: go home tonight and take all your albums, all your tapes, and all your cd’s and burn em’. 'Cause you know what? The musicians who’ve made all that great music that’s enhanced your lives throughout the years...
Rrrrrrrrrrrrreal fucking high on drugs."

Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. That we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.

that is all i need. and i am okay with that.

regarding time travel, i believe if possible, would not result in changing the future of yours but cause the timeline to skew off in another time where what was changed ACTUALLY happens. we live in infinite timelines where in one timeline i may have chosen too invest money in stock and be a billionaire right now. there may be a timeline where i chose to commit suicide. there are literally INFINITE possibilities. it is called CHOICE. i CHOSE to do this, which leads me here, but somewhere in a parallel dimension, i did something else......my god i love Stephen Hawking.

if you're reading this, i want you to imagine the universe, i really do. just imagine it. think about how big it is. here's the kicker. you cant. you brain cannot literally bend itself around the mass expansion of space. do not say "oh well, i can imagine this big empty space full of darkness" no. its not that. you need to actually ACCEPT the fact that you cannot imagine infinity. you are physically incapable of it. for those that do imagine infinity, you are lying to yourself. enlightenment takes place for those who can actually admit that they cannot see this thing called infinity. imagine yourself as nothing. actually BELIEVE that you have become nothing. cut off anything remaining to your human self and just think.......nothing. you have finally become one with the universe. and become nothing. it is a very, umm, interesting experience. i welcome those who can actually do this. you become more, in tune with things around you, and makes you think more. what comes after is up to you.

glad you liked that. im........very.......morbid? i guess thats the word im looking for? no....something different. idk. i think for days on end, and thats what i think about. i try to use the other portion of my brain, the 95% that is said to not be used be the majority. i quit my notes awhile back because i started becoming so depressed i couldnt take it. to actually imagine yourself as a nothing in this expansion called infinity is an extremely sobering act. your entire demeanor changes.

You know what, I think in story terms as well... I used to have panic attacks and be afraid of dying... just ALL THE TIME. And then I realized the reason is because I classify myself as a background cast, and anyone who reads or watches movies knows it's the main characters who survive everything. :p

Seriously though, if you believe everything happens for a reason, then other people's impacts are all part of the plan as well. I don't consider the president "big picture cast" in my life at all. I'm the center of my life- I mean, I know what you're saying, but it's all perspective. I choose to not let anyone have any more impact on my own life than I do. I think a lot of people do let other people's actions and words control who they are... I'm just not like that. You'd be surprised how little anything short of a nuclear war would affect my life.

by big pic i mean like if he died it would mess with the world around me, people you don't know, such as, for example, when mj died people, me not anywhere near as much as them, cared. some crazies killed people. But classifying yourself as the main character is always a good habit! It's not bad to have pride and consider yourself your life, because you are the main character! as for the other thing, each person has their own path, and intertwining those paths is not part of the big picture. For example, that movie not too long ago, knight and day, that chick had no idea what was coming and it all fell into place by accident.

i have bad examples, so what?

sorry for double post.

notes to yourself isn't the way to go. notes on the internet, maybe this thread? is the way to go. you need people to talk to/share with this sorta thing, makes you feel smart. depression is a state of mind. you control your body. tell it whos boss lol
