BP are greedy pieces of shit. They don't care about anything but money. They deserve to drink the oil from the gulf.

I'm not trying to remove any of the blame from BP, but many of the other oil companies do off-shore drilling, and that off-shore drilling helps keep gasoline prices low, improving the quality of life for everyone.
I don't know whether off-shore drilling should be legal, and I don't know whether BP was negligent with the safety of its drilling platform. However, even if BP's only interest is money, BP executives wouldn't be indifferent to the explosion of a $350 million dollar piece of equipment.
It's clear that the stakes are high for off-shore drilling, and disasters like these should undoubtedly cause us to consider whether the potential costs really outweigh the benefits.

What bothers me is that no one seems to know what to do. I mean this seems to be the main problem they just keep trying and trying and at this point the well is going to be bone dry by the time they figure out how to stop it. The sad part is this will always be there I know before long I'll be finding oil off my coast whether it be in the gulf stream or quite possibly in our local marsh grass. I honestly hope they can stop it because, as the lady said in the video this disaster could take around 30 years for the ecosystem to rebuild. In my opinion the gulf coast is one of the nicest places on Earth, I usually take multiple trips each year to that area and as a diver seeing it get destroyed makes me enraged at BP.
@Jackson I realize that offshore drilling saves money but, as I said in another thread at x360a I would rather pay more for gas than wipe out an ecosystem.

All in my opinion of course.
