Alright, there seems to be a bit of confusion going around about News thread closings. Currently, there is no way to take a thread and just make it a News article, so if a thread is created by a member that is newsworthy, I have been copying the original post of that thread, and publishing it as a News article. The reason I do this is so that the topic will appear under news on the main page.
