1. Yeah i got my bundle from Gamestop at midnight release last night. it works fine, a tiny bit louder than my pro i had but i guess it needs to be broken in a bit.

2. Best Buy issue, it's their fault the serial number wasn't in their system and working properly.

3. lol i'm sorry to hear that man... people who pre-order should get first priority. you situation is bullcrap and sucks.

4. The only thing as far as i know that needs to be activate EVER are giftcards/point cards/Live cards. Consoles were built to work from factory, no reason it shouldn't work because it wasn't scanned lol. Consoles aren't THAT advanced yet xD

but yeah, i'm sorry to hear about your situation. i was pretty excited to get my console last night that's for sure. i think you're the only other person i know other than me on this site that got the FFXIII Console :p

Yea STD ur best buy ppl r really dumb. I sold those consoles all day today no problems. Plus whoever the manager was that said it had to be "activated" is s moron. We open some consoles to pre setup in the store so obviously they don't need to be. Sry for ur experience. If u were in my best buy I wouldn't have let u leave without a system. All they had to do was return ur system and resell it. Easy fix. U just had a tard to deal with and I appologize for that.

Thanks Orange I knew you worked there so I was hoping you could clear up the best buy end of it. But your wrong about one thing I didn't deal with a tard I dealt with 3 or 4 tards lol. I knew better but I told myself that maybe these people actually know more than I do as they work in electronics and geek squad and I am just a butcher with a hobbie for electronics..... I was wrong and maybe I should put my application in there. LOL

although the lady from 1-888-Best-Buy was very helpful and she said that they had these issues all day so at least there are more tards out there than just in Michigan. LOL



Yea. There was the same problem with the MW2 consoles. Mainly what happens when u preorder online it order gets assigned a generic serial number since there has to be one to pay for it. So when u pick it up and they scan the serial number it will never match up causing this problem. But like I said it's an easy fix. They were just to stupid to know how. But atleast the lady on the phone hooked u up. They r usually very helpful when I have to call them to order parts. It just sucks u have to wait until Thursday to get what u preordered a month ago

This. This is why your a god! Hopefully someone lurking this forum has learned something as have I.


Although they did try to return my bundle and do it that way but it didnt' work because I couldn't return it until I picked it up, and I couldn't pick it up because the serial number didn't match. sounds like a bitter cycle.



Just glad I could clear things up.

Ever since I pre ordered Grand Theft auto San Andres for the Ps2 I never Shopped at best buy again after they screwed me over. My game disk was in two pieces when they handed me the box i could hear something was loose in the box so i opened it there and they told me I had to wait 2 weeks for their normal shipment for the store to come in. I was pissed I know how it is

i think ive only actually bought like 2 games in my life at best buy, the first one was fine, the 2nd game was CoD MW1 and i get home and the multiplayer maps wouldnt load, i look at the disc and its got a humongous gash in it so i had to take it back and they gave me shit because it was opened(NO FUCKIN SHIT!) and i eventually got an exchange. but as far as the guy tellin u they have to be fuckin scanned to work properly, that made me laugh hard, what a fuckin idiot.
