I stumbled upon this bit of news, searched the site and saw no mention, so I thought I would pass it along...

THQ has made it official. Metro 2034's video game, based on the post-apocalyptic book by Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky and the follow-up to the Metro 2033 video game, will be titled Metro: Last Light and is scheduled for release next year. It is also being produced in 3D video.

I really enjoyed the first game (DLC was a bit unstable), so I hope the sequel is worth the effort. :)

I really wish companies would fix their previous games/DLC issues BEFORE putting out a sequel, bought the DLC for 2033 and it was about worthless, can't even unlock any achievements in it. THAT being said, 2033 was pretty fun so I'll give this a rent when it releases.

I believe they did fix the DLC. I was able to unlock all of the achievements associated with it. After a couple of patches, THQ advised everyone to re-download the DLC before giving it a go. But, I agree it was a "pain" at first.

I didn't try the DLC for this one but I thought the regular game was great. Interesting story and more atmosphere than most games out there!
