I'm trying to the lightsaber master achievement where you have to perform 20 unblockable combos. Do they have to be 20 in a row or 20 in total?

just make sure that you press x right as you finish swinging the saber so that it glows the next time its swung. after three swings of the saber it counts as one "unblockable combo"
