Valve finally fixed the "Sacrifizzle" achievement in The Sacrifice DLC of Left 4 Dead. As of today, 1/18/11, you can obtain it in system link or online (by forcing a local server).

They can only be obtained on a local server. Since Left 4 Dead does not give you the option of choosing local server, you have to force it. You do this by mashing the "A" button when you select "Start Game". After pressing "A" several times, you will force the game to start and it will be on a local server. Same as Crash Course.

left 4 dead is not patched. you have to hit A several times. it might freeze on you a couples times. do it until it forces you to get it on local server. i had to do it to get the achievement.

That's what I said. Either force a local server or do it in system link. "Sacrifizzle" was unobtainable before today, now it is obtainable, maybe not a complete patch but it still received a patch to allow us to unlock a previously glitched achievement.

System link or force local server. Forcing a local server is online play. It is described above and is the same thing you had to do for the Crash Course achievements as well as the rest of The Sacrifice achievements. You had to do it on Left 4 Dead 2's DLC also, the only difference being it allowed you to choose a local server.
And if you choose to do system link, you only need 1 console, 1 copy of the game, and 2 controllers. You just choose System Link Game instead of Friends Only, Private Game, etc...
