It could be a problem with your ISP (Internet Service Provider) in your area. I don't know to much about this kind of problem but where I live I sometimes get kicked off live because of something my ISP is doing.

It used to happen to me fairly often in the middle of a match. All of a sudden the game would freeze for a second then the screen would go black and it would say "disconnected from Xbox Live" . Pretty lame. Hasn't happened to me in a while though.
