Heres some interesting news i found, Insomniac games(makers of Resistance and Ratchet and Clank among others) have announced a new deal with EA for a brand new IP to release on the 360 and PS3...this could be some great news. Here's the press release.

"Insomniac Games has today announced that it's working on a brand new IP with EA Partners, which will see the developer going multiplatform, releasing on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The deal represents a major coup for EA, Insomniac and Xbox 360 gamers, who will get to experience what could quite easily have been a PlayStation exclusive franchise.

Working on a fresh IP with EA is potentially great news all round then, and Insomniac CEO Ted Price is excited to be able to bring a "brand new universe and franchise" for players to experience.

"We have created a brand new universe and franchise for you to experience in the coming years. As we develop it, one of our goals is to provide an awesome experience for as many players as possible. With that in mind, we’re working with EA Partners to bring this title to both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360." said Price on the Insomniac Blog.

"Working with EA Partners allows us to extend the reach of our games to a multiplatform audience while retaining ownership of the intellectual property," Price also stated. "We are excited and eager to introduce Insomniac to a new group of gamers while reinforcing to our loyal fans what makes our games special."

That's awesome. I've never played any of their games and I'd be excited to see something similar to Resistance.

Battlefront 3 was pretty far along from what ive heard when they canned it, had some nice character models and such, they need to pass it to a new studio and have them finish and put it out with a huge xbox live support.
