hey dude i'm sorry to hear that..my mother had breast cancer and she is a survivor best wishes to you and your family keep your head up think positive and you will get through this too

Thanks a lot everyone. I appreciate all of your support.
Its actually 2/7. My mom is the youngest of seven. The part about it that is weird is that my aunt that I speak of is the oldest of them and my uncle is the next oldest. It just seems like its working it way through them. My mom does get checked yearly though.
My grandmother was a breast cancer survivor. My grandfather also ended up with testicular cancer. All the same side of the family.
I have an appointment with my doctor next week for a full checkup and to talk about scheduling future ones. I don't want anything to sneak up on me.

Just for an update:
My aunt lost her battle with cancer Wednesday night. Wednesday also would have been my grandfathers 92nd birthday. She was surrounded by our family when she went.

Beverly Joyce Morris, 56, of Washington, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011, in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care. She had been ill since July 2010.
She was born September 13, 1954, in Washington, a daughter of the late Frank Morris Sr. and Wilma Cook Morris.
Ms. Morris was employed as a bookkeeper at Weber Furniture for 33 years and also worked at Dollar Store Plus in Washington Crown Center for three years.
She enjoyed being with her family, reading, and her beloved dog, Nikki.
Mrs. Morris was a member of Friendship Community Church.

(Kathy) Morris, Jr., of Washington; five sisters, Sandra Fuller of Washington, Joanna La Fave of Weirton, Brenda (Dave) McGowan of Washington, Pamela (Jaime) Tickle of Grove City, Ohio, and Connie Morris of Lawrence; 13 nieces and nephews; and 22 great- nieces and great-nephews.
Deceased is one niece.
Friends will be received Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from Noon to 1 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
