HBO Go App Now Includes XFinity Subscribers

Now with XFinity Support!


The HBO Go app released on the 360 a few weeks ago, and while many rejoiced, many more were very upset to find out that many local cable companies, such as Charter, were on the list of supported providers, yet XFinity/Comcast was not. So, while Comcast subscribers did gain access to the separate XFinity app, offering all of their On Demand content, HBO Go was off limits, it seemed. Well, all that has changed, since Comcast has now announced that they will be offering compatibility with the HBO Go app!

So now you can catch up on your favorite HBO shows, and watch many that Comcast's XFinity app just doesn't offer. As of right now, Time Warner is still not compatible with HBO Go, but rumor has it that the company is close to a deal. I, for one, will be very excited to catch up on Six Feet Under, as well as checking out some new shows like Eastbound and Down.

You know it! Now, does anyone know how long it takes for a new episode to get added to HBO Go? I know On Demand you have to wait 24 hours, but say the new Game of Thrones Sunday; does it get added to HBO Go at 9 when its suppose to air, as soon as the episode is over, or is it 24 hours like On Demand?

I wonder if my cable company will let me subscribe to HBO without actually having cable? I only use them for internet and phone right now :laugh:
