I tried out Jackson's gamertag checker (which was excellent) and I am amazed by how many really good tags are available now. I'm talking about great names without the need to add a string of numbers or special characters in the front or back. I'm actually thinking about changing mine in the new year.
I also noted that many of the tags I tried to get back in the Xbox Live beta test period (I was a beta) are still showing as not available, but when I try to add them as friends they show up with zero scores. I'm thinking many of these tags were parked during the OG Xbox days. Do you think MS will ever clean up the inactive tags and free up the names?
