Depends, if you want the completion it's worth it... Doesn't have any impact in game or anything other than you finished first in like 1,900 races.

Yeah thats what i need. ive got about 60hrs of just straight racing(plus like 40 more for menus/tuning/etc) and im like 52% done. Ive gotten tired of driving myself so i just hire a driver and go off and do other stuff ^.^

I think the toughest achievement for this game is Drift Lap (100000 drift points in a LAP and not necessarily X amount of drift points in a RACE) followed by Solid Gold and Entrepreneur.

Nope if you hire a driver you dont get any driver xp, your car however does get some xp.

Im gonna have to disagree with you on that one. Drift Lap is very easy because you just go on the Fugimi track (or however its spelled) and set it to the full circuit. Then just get a good car that can slide. (A good trick to drift good in that game is always stay in 2nd gear and feather on the clutch when you need to get some more torque going. You should be able to keep the wheels spinning and the car sliding without slowing down too much) If you dont get over 500 points on any of the turns just rewind a little ways back before the turn and try again. On some of the wider turns you should be able to crack 4k points. I think my best was 13k on a group of turns.
The hardest achievement IMO is Solid Gold. Even though you can just hire a driver for all the races you still have to wait there while it races. Thus 80 Hours + of sitting around watching a guy race.
