I don't think DLC is that important to FF13, unless... it has achievements.........

I think that guy is using "DLC" as a term for added missions or an added story.
game content download can mean anything from weapons to outfits and yes even Missions.
that producer just means that they won't be putting out anything along the lines of missions, but they will probably put out some type of downloadable outfits or weapons, stuff that doesn't alter the story or add to it.

I can appreciate this, and actually hope there is no substantial DLC for FF XIII. The current trend is getting a little ridiculous; entire portions of the game left out (Capcom!), or constant updates requiring you to purchase add ons to maintain your 100% achievement completion (Dragon Age). Don't get me wrong, I think DLC is great when used properly, however during these tough economic times I find it exceedingly absurd that devs are asking me to shell out anywhere from $5-$20 each month for additional content that just doesn't seem worth it (Mad Moxxi). Regardless, I totally appreciate what Square Enix is trying to do: Tell gamers that they will receive the full package on day one, and that any future DLC will only be used to enhance what is already there.

i'm sure the DLC on the back of the box just signifies things such as themes, avatar items, gamer pics, etc.
i'm glad they won't include DLC though. if Square can deliver the whole experience without DLC and keep fans happy, then great job on their part

Great, one thing i hate is spending more money on games i purchased at full price. Especially if the DLC comes out a few days after the release date.
(well except for games like Left 4 Dead which put out more campaigns to keep the game fresh for players till left 4 dead 2 came out, Valve did a great job. That's how DLC should be used. IMO)

All I have to say is - AWESOME!
I love the FF games and its not like I will sell it when I'm done, but it will be nice to be able to just play the game and not worry about having to re-play the game later!

I thought of that too but it says "in game content" so im assuming it meant actually in the game, if not extra story or quests maybe items or something for the lazy gamers
Example: Tales of Vesperia
i'm thinking costumes now. who knows.
and i still want that faceplate baddd xD
