So I was talking with my brother-in-law about burning/ripping cds, movies, etc. and I asked him if it was possible to burn 360 games. He said its gotta be possible but left it at that. I searched around the internet and found this website and was wondering if anyone here has heard of it or the process of burning 360 games. I know its illegal to burn and distribute but what about backing up your games? 360's are notorious for scratching and eating games and I would like to back them up if possible.

you have to take apart your 360 and remove/alter the firmware and then you can copy them.
but its way easier said then done

So you actually have to open up your xbox to do this? Its not something that can be flashed?

i dont usually like to admit this, but no. its a differnt type of "modding" you have your modding that like, ya know, makes the 360 look all pretty and cool. then you have the type that lets your 360 plays burned discs.

most of our consoles are like that in my house. for example, our wii is modded, and it isnt that hard once you have it opened. my dads friend knows how to do it, and tbh, it isnt difficult. but i wont say much more >->

btw yes, i do buy some of my games as well. i have like 6-7 wii games bought so dont just say im ripping the companies off becaues i od buy some of those games..

I have a lot of friends that have modded xbox's. They have the games a week or two before they come out. I know where to get them

yeah I think I have an idea of where to get/download them but thats not why I would want to play burned games.

So black, to get your 360 to play burned games you dont you have to actually open the xbox? If I can get the program for like say $30 then I think its worth it. Also (not saying I would do this) you could technically rent games and burn them instead of purchasing them. IDK but its crossed my mind a few times, especially when I buy a game and only play it for a couple weeks

So i did a little google.com research and found that this website is a scam. I guess you can get this stuff for free but I havent figured out how to yet.

i'll admit it, lol..i do that with movies...lol..if my buddy has a movie i want, I'll just burn it
same thing would go for games if my 360 was modded like that.

I just wanted to let you guys know about everything4360 here because I signed up for it. At first, cause its so ugly I thought I got ripped off so I contacted customer service for a refund, they replied instantly asking if they could help me. Well they walked me through the whole firmware flashing process and had all the software and tools I needed to backup my own purchased games as well. Truth is I cheated a little and just downloaded games I already own, but the point is it works, if you dont believe me just email their support line and you will see they get back to you so fast and actually know what they are doing. I found their site from fixya.com cause their support line actually answers problems from their too.

wow what a bump

Well while i'm here it bears mentioning that you can now rip games on the hard drive to cut load times. It's worked wonders for my Gear 2 gameplay
