So I had a crazy thought, a way to get some extra 360 gamer points, lol

Me and my wife are looking at getting another 360 so we can both play games together, so once we got another 360, we'd have to get 2 of the same games so we can play online together, so what I was thinking was this.

I have an american version 360, american version 360 games, american version gamer points. What if I got a european version 360, I can buy a european version of the same game that I have the american version of, thus earning 2000 gamer points, 1000 for the american version, and 1000 for the european version.

I think I have explained this correctly, so give me some thoughts. I thought you get 1000 for american and 1000 for European version, but am I wrong? I see games posted double on some peoples gamer tags and I thought this is what they did.

Any problem with this working?

to be honest I never really pay attention to stallion...is that what he does? I don't think I'll be getting a japanese console....not much need for three consoles...I thought this would be a good way to bump up our gamescores, lol.....make it that much useful for getting a second 360 and 360 game

That's a good spot for Pal games, but there aren't enough region specific titles to make it worth while. A Japanese console is the way to go, but be prepared to pay at least $60 per game.

I have a japanese console if anyone wants to play Saints Row 1 with me :)

The Japan console is the better choice out of the 2. It has alot more exclusive games that can get you quick easy points. The pal version only has darts cricket and soccer games that are exclusive. I'm not 100 percent sure how it works but the pal version runs of the pal setting which is roughly 50 hertz. The American electrical cycle is 60 hertz. You might want to check around and make sure you don't need to buy a converter. Would suck to get the xbox delivered to you and have to leave it in the box for 3 weeks waiting for another package.
