EA shutdown games in March and April 2010.

March 16, 2010 Online Service Shutdown

Def Jam for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360
Godfather for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360
Lord of the Rings: Conquest for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360
Mercenaries 2: World in Flames for PC
Need for Speed: Carbon for PlayStation Portable
Need for Speed: ProStreet for PlayStation Portable
Simpsons for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360

April 15, 2010 Online Service Shutdown

Burnout 3: Takedown for PlayStation 2
Army of Two for PlayStation 3 (Asia only)

Additionally, the shutdown of Xbox LIVE for Original Xbox consoles and games (scheduled for April 15, 2010) will retire online services for the following titles:

Battlefield 2: Modern Combat for Xbox
Burnout 3: Takedown for Xbox
Madden NFL 09 for Xbox

There is only 4 game for Xbox 360, which are Def Jam, Godfather, Lord of the Rings: Conquest and The Simpsons. If you have not finish up the Def Jam and Lord of the Rings: Conquest online achievements. This is your last chance to get achievement.

Dang, looks like I'm gonna need to boost Def Jam, as I've barely played it. For convenience, here are the achievements for it:

Solo Hard or Ranked: Torch your opponent in the Flaming Gas Pump

Solo Hard or Ranked: Defeat your opponent by using the speaker blast at The Club

Hit The Lights 15g
Solo Hard or Ranked: Use the Light Wall at The Club until it's lights out

It’s the Amps 10g
Solo Hard or Ranked: Blow your opponent away with the electrified car at the Block

Joy Riding 15g
Solo Hard or Ranked: End the fight with the lowriding impact at the Block

Heads Up 10g
Solo Hard or Ranked: Knock your opponent out with the Swinging Light Rig

Feel the Power 15g
Solo Hard or Ranked: End a fight at the studio with an electrifying experience for your opponent

Marshmallows 10g
Solo Hard or Ranked: Use the fireplace in the Penthouse to finish off your opponent

Window of Opportunity 15g

Ranked: Achieve 50 online wins

Rollin 50g
Ranked: Achieve 100 online wins

Ornery Bastard 100g
Ranked: Achieve 200 online wins

Domination 25g
Ranked: Have your Taunt Tag appear on your dominated opponent's screen

Straight Clownin' 50g
Win a ranked match with 100 total taunts

The ones in the Spoiler aren't online only, but they are only achievable on Online or Hard, which I've heard is pretty difficult, so I put them in there in case people wanted to boost them

Jeez already shutting down Madden 2009 *edit* just realized this is not the 360 version**, they are getting a little pushy there! Barely any heads up either. Glad Merc 2 is only the PC version, I still need some online achievements for it.

EA needs to cut this crap out with all these server shutdowns, unless they plan on using this to do something HUGE

true, but making achievements impossible is just wrong if you ask me :/

By all means I 100% agree.I was just saying from a business stand point.However,I look at it like at least they're letting us know unlike 2K.

I wish EA would open 1 server for NBA Live 06.......

Ok guys I made a event for 24 hrs on friday February 19th obviously it can go on longer but I'd say it shouldnt take longer than 12 hrs

Damn, I better finally open my copy of The Simpsons. Anyone know how many online's it has?

I guess this also means I won't be trying to buy Godfather 1 now either.

Well, ain't that a bitch.
They don't think about the new gamers, that can't afford the new games. They get the older games for a cheaper price. It's a major let down when they buy it, and can't play online.
