Deadly Premonition

Anyone here of this? Apparently its a throwback to old school survival horror, which I love. It was also released at a $19.99 price point, which is amazing, but it has been my experience that anything released at lower than the normal $60 price point just isn't worth it. Figured I'd let you all know, and hopefully get some feedback. $19.99 for a newly released 360 game is a hot deal, regardless.

It's neither, Adrian. Evol bought it for me because I LOVE horror games, so I'll keep going back to it over time, but it's not a game I can take for any length of time. The controls and camera and graphics would be outdated and clunky if the game were on PS1. I have only gotten past the first chapter, and it's just... painful. The voice acting is... it's... it can only be described as terrible, and somehow that doesn't seem bad enough. On top of that, difficulty achievements don't stack, so you have to go through it a bunch of times to get everything.
It really sucks. Nick told me it's the worst reviewed game for the 360, and I can totally see that being true.
That's what I expected to hear, although I was hoping it wasn't true, as I love horror games as well. Ah well, at least I didn't waste $20 in store credit for nothing this weekend.
