Halo is a 360 juggernaut, a force to be wreckoned with, a king pin, and this movie.......was a total failure. went to Hastings, saw this, and i was like, i should pick it up and watch it. bad idea.
concept: 7 Halo stories from different eras of the Halo universe. from a random clip, to something actually pertaining to the storyline(like the episode dealing with the Reach book). many of Japan's top artists did the episodes for Halo Legends. some were well animated, some were.....odd, at best. the first two episodes dealt with Cortana, and her memories of pastlife, and even showed the forerunners and what they had to do to stop the spread of the flood. the next followed the Arbiter, a Heretic to his kind. afterwards the story of the Spartan II program, and the psychological aspects of this treatment. the next was just dumb, spartan 1337 fell on a planet, and a ape-thing-piece-of-shit attacked him. it seemed like the guy who did FLCL did this piece. it was mildly funny. then the story of the ODST drop wit ha spartan that went wrong, but they at least assassinated one of the prophets. after that came the story of Ghost. then the story of the first chapter of the Halo: Reach book, my fav entirely. the stories didnt flow very well, the animation style for the one about the Arbiter was in........water colors i think. all in all, this movie didnt flow at all. i even spent the $25.00 to buy the special edition. worst money ever spent in my opinion. now, i do realize they weren;t supposed to flow, they were just stories. but an actual animated movie would have just been good.

pathetic. i only like 2 out of the 7 stories. the first and last. so, unless you want everything Halo related, even a Halo coozie, a Halo Pillow(dont marry it, please), a Halo movie, and a Halo life size figure(or Master Chief armor you can crawl into) dont buy the movie. rent it or something.....or dont.
