i agree with shock. im almost done with borderlands and i didnt cheat at all. only played online, like, twice too.

you know it can mess up your entire game and also lose your progress in the game and get you banned

The modded guns/shields are not like modding your console. I even heard that Gearbox made it to where you could create your own modded guns/shields (someone correct me if Im wrong because like I said, I heard it from somewhere)
But either way, you won't get banned or anything to you for having modded equipment. I didn't really care for this game enough to put the numerous hours it takes to go through the game and DLC, so I picked up the modded shotgun and shield....The Secret Armory has glitched on me and I need to finish picking up Braaaaaaaaaaaaaaains for the Dr. Zed's DLC....so, after that I'll get the Claptrap DLC.
But anyway, to answer the thread creators question.
