Gearbox Software’s creative director, Mikey Neumann, has announced on good ‘ole Twitter that the promised patch for Borderlands has now gone live!
Neumann’s tweet excitedly exclaimed:
“BORDERLANDS LEVEL CAP INCREASE PATCH IS ——- LIVE!!!!!”
The patch, which amongst other things increases Borderlands gamers’ level cap, went into certification last week, and while the approval process through Sony and Microsoft was expected to take “a couple weeks” to complete, it seems as though it’s finished up much sooner than that!
In a follow-up tweet, however, Neumann posted:
“Except on 360.”
Hmm… What’s up with this? Xbox 360 gamers have also been left out of the patch update fun for F1 2010 as well! Is it really all of this Kinect launch stuff that’s keeping Microsoft occupied?
While we try to get confirmation through official channels on which platforms, exactly, the Borderlands patch has gone live for, perhaps those of you with copies of the game on the three platforms can have a look and let us know?
Danke danke.
(PS: If you have a retail copy of Borderlands on PC, you can download the update over here.)
