acog+sniper=?

anyone know why you would choose to put an acog scope on a sniper rifle
on call of duty 4?
as far as i can tell it just decreases your range

wow i fail hard
less then 5 min. after posting this i find out the answer
its for shouldering the sniper faster
for run and gun snipers
so basically
it helps turn the sniper into something more like a
smg

shoulder
like reaction time from lt until its eyelevel
not aim and hold
like pop shots

i never use the acog on any weapon.
lately iv been owning on ak-74nu *not sure if that is the right name

still have no clue which one it is.
iv stopped using guns beside snipers i wanna see if i can get the gold drag before i get prestige.
so far i got red tiger on the first sniper and the m21.
ima start using r700 next, even though i hate that gun

eh id rather sit tight and kill any and all unsuspecting victims that dare walk in front of me, and with Bandollier, Deep Impact, and UVA Jammer, i am invisible

For some reason, I can't seem to get many kills with any sniper rifles. I guess I'll stick with my M16.

Sniping is like an Art. It takes time and effort and lots of practice with it. I got bored with COD4 so now I'm trying to be a sniper. It took a while but I've got a few good spots on each map. Well besides vacant. (spelling sucks)

M21 is alright. Not my favorite though. I favor the 50 Cal I love to blast people through walls. hehehe

I love the M40A3 sniper. One shot, one killl. Always.

Okay, okay sometimes I miss or hit their pinky finger and they don't die but most of the time it's one fluid motion straight to their head. A few milliseconds later and they've got a little sumthin between their eyes.

my fav would have to be 50 cal then drag and the least fav would have to be the r700 even though it has the most force, it has a crappy recoil which pisses me off
