Hello all,
Game Informer recently released a top 200 games of all time list. And although I don’t agree with many of the picks made (such as legend of zelda rating above super mario bros 3, castlevania symphony of the night, or final fantasy tactics) I thought it would be interesting to list where Xbox titles stood on this list.
Considering that Nintendo, Sega, Sony and other platforms have been at the gaming business for much longer than Microsoft, I find it impressive that the big M score as many titles as it did on this behemoth of a list. The only sad part of the list for the average Xbot, however, is the lack of many exclusive titles being higher on the list. But to each their own, as with all lists, they are strictly the opinion of the author (or authors) who penned it.
Without further ado, here are the titles from our beloved box that made the soon to be infamous list (listed with their spot on the list, how they were delivered onto the Xbox brand, and exclusives/console exclusives in bold).
NOTE: I saw several titles that also appeared on the Xbox that weren’t included in their tally, so I felt it was more accurate to include any and all titles that appeared on a MS platform. If you find any inaccuracies, please let me know via comments and I will research and if confirmed, will alter as necessary. Considering how GI neglected many multi-platform statuses, I had to do a bit of searching online to try and pinpoint which titles actually did release on separate platforms.
