I was just wondering if i could sign on my friends 360 and get achievements and stuff with his games...can this be done or not?

you can detach your harddrive and bring it with you, yes. I do not have a memory card, so I detach my harddrive and bring it out to the bigger tv and put my harddrive on my roommates 360. It's easy. Even easier, unless you're roommates, ask him or her to just borrow the game.
