Xbox America Advertising

In hopes of getting more members for this fantastic community I have started to put "Xbox America - Sign Up" tabs on all of my school's computers.

This could benefit the trade thread as well as just enlarge the community, hopefully it works. If not, it was worth the effort, lol.

Feel free to post ideas or ways that you have come up with or put into action about advertising for Xbox America.

And Crooklyn and Stake, you don't have to post about your community playdate because I'm pretty sure that's the best advertising we could ask for thus far. Great job with that.

I could get a XBA tatoo on my ass, it would be local advertising only, but lots of people see it, especially when i'm drinking!

Just be careful with advertising randomly. Random people suck. It's why I don't play on live with randoms. We have a small community with a "family" feel. Being flooded with a bunch of random dbags is going to just turn us into x360a.

I've been here a year and a half. I met my fiancee on this site, have a new son because of this site, and have some of my best friends from this site. We all share bits of our real selves, and huge amounts of our personal lives. That's the environment this site provides. I'd hate to see that change, but every time we get a push of a bunch of new posters at once, 75% post once or twice and stop, 24.90% douche up and get banned, and .10% actually stick around and become part of the community.

I wonder how you feel about me? Seeing how I've only been here for a few months. I do feel like part of the family and I understand what you are saying. This is the first website to push for that feel. After dec 27, will be getting alot more random posters though!!

Actually, my ass-tatoo comment aside, I agree with Lady Evol (even though I'm probably one of the douchebags she's taliking about). Word of mouth is probably the best way to get quality members here & I'd rather have the hundred or so decent people that regularly post than 2000 people who have nothing to add to the site or threads.

Here's a bumper sticker I made if anyone wants one. Unfortunately, we can't ever use the Xbox America logo because it's not at a high enough resolution and Microsoft owns the rights to the Nexus image.

Question: If we can't use the logo Nexus will we have to redesign to do the community playdate?
