I'm not sure if this is newsworthy just yet, but I wanted to comment on it. If you scroll down a little more than halfway through the page, to about 7:40, they begin talking about Windows Vista and gaming on the new Operating System. He then goes on to say that the xbox 360 has 160 titles right now, but will grow to about 300 by the end of the year. 2007 looks like it's shaping up to be a really good year (Assassin's Creed, Lost Planet, Halo 3...but that's all for another topic). Anyway, to what this topic is really about, he then begins to talk about Xbox Live, and it's 5 million+ members. Then it is mentioned to "...take the Live experience to Windows...", where people with Windows Vista can play games such as Uno and such on XBL with the 360 controller, and all with a custom UI. This is pretty cool, at least in my opinion, and it further closes the gap between pc and console gaming. MS is blurring the lines in what used to be a very defined part of gaming. I remember as early as 3-5 years ago, when I talked to hardcore gamers they would say things like "Yeah, XBox is cool..." or "Yeah, PS2 is cool, but if I want to play games I'll just stick with my computer." This statement is becoming harder and harder to back up. Now with the release of the keyboard for the 360, there is really no distinction between FPS games for the PC or for the console. MS is heading in the right direction, though I'm sure the adoption of Windows Vista will take some time, I can see that as early as January of 2008 the Live platform begins to take off for the PC. MS has a markethold where Sony does not, and they are flaunting it with this feature.
