Why?

So, every once and a while, some member of the sight goes and gets him/her self banned for disrespecting the other members of the site. well... it seems to me like a lot of those banned members make themselves new accounts and sign up for the site with them. Then they try and act all innocent with their new fake accounts, as if somebody isn'g going to eventually figure out they're fakes. Maybe im wrong to ask, but why do you all think that people do this? If something bothered you SO much about the site that you had to mouth off and get banned, why come back and act like you were never pissed?
p.s. please stop me if you think this is a topic i shouldnt have started lol i'm quite cautious of what i say lmao, i duno why...

Lol, I think this topic is fine and won't cause any trouble just as long as it stays on topic.

With that being said, I believe that people come back because they either know that they fucked up a great opportunity with a great site or they're just douche bags and wanna start shit again, lol.

First off, if someone tries to circumvent a ban by creating another account, we ban that account as well.

I think it is for one of two reasons: 1 - the person doesn't feel they should have been banned in the first place and wants to either complain or try to get back in the site. 2 - If they were such an ass to begin with, they will continue to have this trait and be an ass and rejoin the site under a different name to try to continue trouble they started.

Thats my two cents anyhow...

Good question, same could be asked of people who ask to be banned. Especially when it results in other members getting pissed and getting in trouble for retaliating.

I personally think all bans should be permanent unless a mod, or more than one mod, get together and ok the return of the individual in question.

But even then, the reason for the initial ban should be a big factor of that decision.

Also, those returning members should NOT be going out of their way to dredge up old shit, even if it is in peoples shout boxes. Many active people here are friends, we all go to each others shout boxes to say something, then bingo, we see the shout, then naturally we start watching all the shouts made.

It's not rocket science.

If you get a second chance, leave ALL the drama from the past in the past.

Like what Golden said. People just want attention/drama. And more than half those guys would get destroyed if they spit their bullshit to people in person.

It's pretty hard to get banned here, most of the mods are very lenient and will give members a couple chances to redeem themselves, so if you haven't even had a slap on the wrist or warning yet don't worry man, just keep doing what you're doing and you'll be alright.

Here's something to think about though. On this site you can completely block posts, PMs, shouts from users. So if you don't like the way someone is acting towards you, you don't have to hear it.

Second, one thing I have learned in my event filled life is this: you can't control what other people do to you, but you can control how you act. I have had plenty of people try to get under my skin - doing things that are just wrong - but I can still choose to be the bigger person. Here its easy - just ignore them
