i have a 8gb touch and used to have a 30gb classic (i stil lhave the classic but i mean...when youve got the touch, why bother w/ it right?) and the OMU (Optional Media Update) worked fine on my classic...idk about my touch yet, i havent tested it...

its actually one of the popular downloads. go to like "highest rated" in the categories and it should be there...

Have you tried re-starting your system? Check it's memory status too. You might need to download it again. I have a 160gig IPod with over 25,000 songs, a few movies and still have almost 30gig of free space.
