I was playing over my friends house, we were offline note you, but my friend and I were playing system link. And he unlocked the Level 25 achievement in Gears, which I have, but he is only level 23. So play system link offline and split screen on the same xbox, and youll get the achievements that youre friend has for levels.

we were playing 4 player. 2 on each xbox. yea, just sign in split screen then and youll get your friends achievements.
