UNREADABLE DISC!!!

Here's my story I had been waiting so long for RE5 to release so me and my bro could play it. Well I went to the midnight launch I bought the game, came home and started playing in the morning only for two level later it told me there was an UNREADABLE DISC. At first I was like whatever but then it happend again and again and you know where im going with this. So i called up 1-800-4my-deadbox (xbox) and the lady gave me all this mumbo jumbo on trying to get the game to work again (things i had already tried) she told me I could send it in for repair for $120 and if I wanted a $20 dollar discount to do my repair online. F- that im not going to spend that much money repairing my 360 ( if you ask me all the 360's should be lifetime warranty with all the crap that happens with it .) But before I hung up with her she did give me one helpful tip. Now hopefully this will help you guys/girls if you have the same problem that i did.

She told me to take out my hard drive because sometimes it might be the hard drive "i guess". So i thought to my self no way. Before i took the hard drive off i moved my saved RE5 data to a MU and would you believe it or not i played the whole entire game with no unreadable disc. Crazy huh!

the only bad thing was i didn't have the NXE update without the Hard drive so i couldn't play online, but hey i rather play the game offline then not play it at all. I haven't tried this on another one of my games that has the same problem but im guessing it should work.

GET A NEW XBOX MAINLY THE RED ELITE CAUSE ITS THE NEWER 360 AND SHOULD HAVE THE BULLSHIT CUT OUT

1ST IF YOUR GONNA SPENT OVER $100 ON FIXING A 360 U JUST MIGHT AS WELL GET A NEW ONE THATS HOW I SEE IT I AINT PAYIN TO GET THE SAME SYSTEM BACK AND IT HAPPEN AGAIN
ALWAYS GET A TWO YEAR PLAN CAUSE WITHIN THE 1ST YEAR OR SO U WILL SEE A PROBLEM

AND WHY BOTHER CAUSE HE CANT PLAY THE REAL WAY HE WANTS LIKE ONLINE WHY SHOULD ANY OF US SETTLE FOR LESS? WE PAY GOOD MONEY FOR THIS

The main problem was the hard drive guys i think im just going to buy a new one with more GB
and yes i am going to get a new 360 and let my bro have the other one but im waiting for what microsoft has got cooking up i read that they want to up the GB storage from 120 to who knows what.

and there is a way i can play online without the hard drive but it would require me spending about $55 on the 512MB MU which doesn't bother me because sooner or later my profile is going to take up all the space on my 64MB MU along with my saved games

so plain and simple just download the NXE on the 512MB MU if you have it and you should be able to play online

JUST ADD $45 AND GET 60GB WITH A HEADSET AND 3MONTHS GOLD

ANY MU IS A WASTE OF MONEY

I CANT BELIEVE SOMEONE WOULD REALLY PAY $55 FOR 512MB!

I wouldn't care if I spent $55 for an MU that just me and plus no MU is a waste of money. What happens when you go to a friends house and think oh i should have brought my save with me without the intentions of bringing my hard drive and just leaving it at my house so my bro or sis can play their saved games hmm. I also need an MU so I don't have to go through the process of waiting 10 to 15 minutes recovering my account. After a couple of times it just gets annoying especially when you have people waiting to play a game.

and im not aiming for a 60GB i'm aiming for whats in stored next.

I'm glad you were able to get your game to work!

I was thinking about your problem, and the subsequent solution. I was trying to figure out the correlation between harddrive and disc and I have a theory. It may not be your harddrive that is messing with your ability to play. It might be the NXE itself.

I'm guessing that there is a problem with your 360 and the part of the NXE that allows you to save games to your harddrive are interfering with the ability to send information.

Like I said, this is just a theory. A colorful and imaginative one! lol I could be wrong, but I can't seem to come up with a reason that the harddrive would make a disc unreadable.

That's a good point Evol...I...and I'm sure everyone is still expecting bugs with the NXE, hopefully Microsoft will un-f themselves and fix these types of issues...for free

120GB IS AS HIGH AS IT GOES

XBOX IS NOT MAKING ANYMORE ELITES CAUSE THEY WANNA STICK TO OUT SELLING PS3

PS3 WANT TO PRICE CUT THERE 80GB PS3

SO 360 IS COMING OUT WITH THE ARCADE 360 WITH 60GB AND THE PRO 360 WITH 80GB THATS WILL BE $50 CHEAPER THAN PS3'S PRICE CUT & NOT MORE ELITES! THE RED ELITE WILL BE THE LAST!

PS3 IS HURTING BAD AND 360 IS KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING THEY WILL WIN THE WAR!

To evo It could be the NXE update the only way to find out that is for me to get the 512 MB which i will, not now but later. I will definately try to solve you theory seeing if you were right but anywho nice theory didn't know why i didn't think of that.

To Rorschach only time will tell what will happen
and me i'm personaly a fan of all the systems of course the 360 is the console that i think is the best but yeah who knows like i said only time will tell.(that also goes for a bigger GB storage)
