You can now add twitter to your profiles through the Profile pane within the User CP.

I thought it was kind of dumb at first too, but then I got the idea to use it as a place to post kneejerk reactions to games as I was playing them. Anything I find noteworthy, whether it was really cool or really dumb, and other random observations/opinions gets posted on my account. You're not going to see "I just ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich!" on my feed. It's kind of interesting once you start fiddling around with it.
