That's too bad
Next time you should use a torx head screwdriver to open the case first. It works better than a shovel to do that.
After that it should be easy to access the internals.
I thought the pool was to liquid cool it, thus counter-acting the overheating that causes the RROD. I saw this and was thinking "Bravo! Finally a solution that works!" I'm dissapointed to hear that it didn't.
