Holding an Ace up their sleeve, today Activision announced that Bruce Springstein has decided, with quite a bit of enticing I am sure, that his first downloadable tracks will appear exclusively in Guitar Hero: World Tour! Coinciding with the release of his newest album, entitled "Working on a Dream", a two-song track pack will be available starting January 27, 2009. The track pack will feature two Springstein tracks: "Born to Run" and "My Lucky Day".

I know, what could be better than Bruce Springstein downloadable tracks? Well, aside from them being available on Rock Band? That's right, they are free! For a limited time; more specifically during the first week of his new album's release (January 27 - February 4), the track pack will be free to download. After the promotional period, the track pack will be available to download for 320 Microsoft Points.

That is actually a pretty great way to advertise; just imagine how many more people are going to be interested in the album if they receive some free, time-sensitive DLC. Bravo for Brucie, I would definitely like to see more artists doing things like this. In case you don't own GH:WT yet, I would still suggest picking up the content while its free, on the off chance that you will pick it up at some point in the future.
