Season 2 of True Blood
06/14/09 4:55 pm | #1
The second season of HBO's groundbreaking series True Blood starts tonight. I loved the first season which premiered last summer. Following in a long line of award winning HBO series, it's really the best show they have to offer right now. If you don't have HBO you can find the first season on DVD and I highly recommend it to anyone.

Didn't twilight ruin the Vampire Soap Opera genre? (never saw it)

Considering Twilight (haven't seen it either) was written for a target audience of teenage girls then maybe it did ruin the vampire soap opera genre. True Blood is definitely intended for an adult audience and I wouldn't put it in a soap opera category. Twilight doesn't even compare.

This show is pretty awesome; I've still got to finish the first season On Demand. FYI for those of you interested, Target actually has season 1 on sale this week for 24.99, which is the cheapest I have seen it.

That's a good deal considering it's $40 new. I saw it at like FYE for 35 used but that's not really a deal. I just hate paying so much for a TV series that you'll get one good usage out of then not watch it again probably.

Great show... While I no longer have HBO, I will have to stream it to my 360. Couldn't see paying for HBO anymore since I only watched True Blood on it.

Can't get enough of True Blood. I highly recommend watching the first season. Especially if you drool over Lizzy Caplan (Jason's V-addicted girlfriend).
