Ok I just googled it, and apparently all the Saint's are undercover cops. They brought you on, and helped guide you to take out all the other gangs, and take out all the corrupt politicians, then at the end, your the only thing left, and they get rid of you.
During the end when it's going through all the people, Troy is looking at a police badge in his hand. His own.
The whole time you're being used to fix up stillwater, and then you're betrayed.
I didn't wait that long but apparently after the last cut scene and the credits you hear a gasp of air so looks like you jumped off and survived. I guess there'll be a sequel.. Personally, I think that's pretty cool. It'd be fun getting revenge on those S.O.B.'s that betrayed and used you.
