Question.

Ok so I'm not a big fan of sports games so I have a question. Why does everyone get so excited for madden games? Isn't it just the same thing every year? Oh what do you do in Madden 10? You play football! Oh no way!! Why do you guys throw down 60 bucks for something that has barely changed

I'm not trying to sound like a dick in any way but I'm just confused into why these games are so awesome and why Madden 09 is better then 10

I guess it can be compared to the music games. They're just the same thing with different songs, why do you get those?

I for one do not buy the Madden games when they first come out for this very reason. All that changes is the roster, and if you wait till the next year, or longer, you can get them super cheap. I got 6 and 7 in an eBay auction with 2 other games for $10 with shipping already included, 8 I traded on this site for, and 9 is coming to me soon in the waffle pass arounds. I will probably trade a game for 10 as well.

i agree with u greg. i dont buy them every year. the last one i bought was 08 and i didnt really like it. i played the demo for 10 and it plays a lot different. yes its just football again but the blocking is better and the running is more realistic. so for me getting 10 was like getting a newer better game since i dont play them every year and didnt like the arcady feel of 08

It's just simply a franchise that is enjoyable to play. Slight tweaks and modifications every year can seem like such a big difference if you have been following the game for years. Just like when people get excited over the umpteenth Guitar Hero playlist, I get all giddy inside when I hear the new additions to the latest Madden game. Watching football and going to games keeps me wanting to play Madden. It's just all based on your personal interest.

I'm not getting defensive, I'm just saying that people buy sports games for the same exact reason they buy any game. Because they like them. And if you want to use that logic about sports, how its nothing new with just different players, I'm just bringing up the music games in comparison because you're a pretty avid player of those games, just like I'm an avid player of sports games.

We just like sports....i would never pop in Madden 09/08/07/06 again(unless im completing it), that would just be stupid. I want the latest version. And why change a game that is just fine? thats why they dont change drastically every year....its just football, and we like it that.
