OBLIVION!!!!

So I went to gamestop today and took back Eragon and was pondering on something else I can play to give me a large amount of gameplay in it. I was looking Oblivion Eldar Scrolls Game Of The Year Edition. The game of the year edition has both expansion packs one is the shivering isle and i dont remember the other expansion pack off top of my head.

I know it's a good deal, I bought the game with my console back in 07 but couldn't really get into it. Should I give it another shot? I know I hear a lot of things from people, so I wanted to ask everyone.

It might have just been my "dumbassness", lol...but I kept running around and getting lost...Any tips to help me out?

well i was playing it at regis and its a damn good deal comes with all the DLC on it already so I'd say yes

Yeah I know its a good deal...Gameplay wise, I was just wondering if it was worth me giving another shot at.

If you have more patience than you did before, get it.

I loved Oblivion. I logged a ton of hours in that game. Unfortunately I traded it in and deleted the memory slot after I beat it and before the expansions came out. Even though I've played through all of the main story once, I'd consider getting the game of the year edition and doing it all over again.

Well the only reason I am considering it is because I tried Mass Effect before once when I rented it....and I couldn't get into it.

Than I bought the game, and made myself play it, and I got into it and it is now one of my all time favorite games!

So, that's the reason for this thread...Thanks Boobs

Okay, I'd have to say then that this game is probably similar in that respect.

When you start there's this enormous world in front of you and just wandering around it can be overwhelming... but yet... boring. After you start to get a feel for everything and all the possibilities, you begin to become immersed. More and more activities are unlocked as you go through the game...

Damn. Thinking about this game makes me want to go get it again right now.

The other expansion in Knights of the 9 or somehting like that...Oblivion is a good game, I just dont have the time that is needed to play it

I don't see what there is to like about that game. I bought the CE edition and took it back the next day. Haven't seen anything online that would make me want to play it. I have no interest in any game thats going to take me more than a few days to beat. Hell, I think Viking is to long.

I had fun with it. A glitch cost me getting 1k on it. The only game I was ever close on.

They've fixed it since then though.

Yeah I kept getting lost and annoyed by it...thats the whole reason i took it back...I got tired of wondering around not knowing what the hell I was suppose to be doing or going...lol

I have to leave on a job here soon so I will take my xbox and buy this game for it too

When they come around, I work nuclear plant outages, so I would be working 6 12 hour days with one day off...I stay in my room and play xbox to keep me out of trouble.

Yeah I hear ya man...this game does come with the Knight of the 9 your right...it also comes with shivering isle..thanks a lot, I could not remember the name of the other expansion pack

Boobie is correct. It is very overwhelming, but you have to stick with it. You walk or ride your horse a lot at first, but as you play, you are able to fast travel almost everywhere. That makes the map seem smaller and easier to traverse.

I've played throught the main story 4 times and the shivering isles twice! It WAS alot to handle when I first started, but your journal is the key to staying on task. There are two journal sections. One is for the main quest missions, and the other is for side quest missions, kind of like mass effect was.

The achievements are for the main story line, the guild missions, and running through the arena. If you allow yourself to get into this game, you will feel rewarded. Excellent game in my opinion!

@ Hockey- I glitched out at the end of the thieves guild and the grey fox wouldn't give me the last mission! I had to start all over to get that one! I feel your pain!!

Hey thanks a lot evol...after hearing boobs and you talk about this game the way you two have has helped me make up my mind...I'll pick this up right before the next outage I head off to.
