Microsoft recently announced a list of developers that are currently working on games for Project Natal at TGS 2009. You can count Hideo Kojima the creator of Metal Gear among them. In fact Mr Kojima is very interest in Microsoft’s motion control system. But he’s not interested in making games for the casual market. No, Mr. Kojima wants to make games for the HARDCORE gamers of the world. In a recent interview he revealed his plans for Natal and it’s future:
“I’m not interested in making Natal games for casual users, but I’m interested in making games that hardcore users always wanted to play,” he said. “I want to make to a core game experience on Natal — something that , like a Halo or Gears of War or, of course, like Metal Gear Solid, is a core experience. It’s not like I just want to make an FPS. And I don’t want to make something that’s very simple. I want to make something that is deep for players. I want to give them something that is a deeper experience with Natal.”
With a developer like Hideo Kojima on board, Project Natal could become something very special.
